Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with medical imaging as needed.
- Support prosthodontic and pediatric dentistry procedures by preparing materials and instruments.
- Record patient information accurately, including medical history and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and following up on treatment plans.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve clinic operations and patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Experience with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred.
- Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medical imaging practices is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
