We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, infection control protocols, and effective patient communication. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene techniques.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress using Eaglesoft software.
- Collaborate with dentists in developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in pediatric dental care, providing a comfortable experience for younger patients.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in general dentistry practices.
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques.
- Excellent documentation review skills.
- Competence in using Eaglesoft software for patient management.
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively.
- Strong patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues promptly.
