Located in Northwest Austin, Kind Dental Care is a privately owned dental office that opened in 2020. We are currently searching for a great Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental family.

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing appointments, coordinating schedules, and ensuring efficient patient flow within our medical or dental office. This role requires excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology and scheduling systems. The Scheduler will play a crucial role in enhancing patient service and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Duties

Manage incoming calls using phone systems to schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
Utilize computerized scheduling systems to maintain accurate appointment records.
Ensure timely communication with patients regarding their appointments and any necessary pre-visit instructions.
Collaborate with medical or dental staff to optimize scheduling based on patient needs and office resources.
Process medical billing information as needed, ensuring accuracy in patient records.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the management of office workflow to enhance overall efficiency.

Skills

Proficiency in phone systems for effective communication, experience in Weave is a plus.
Strong computer skills, particularly with scheduling software and electronic health record systems.
Knowledge of dental billing processes and terminology.
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for patients.
Familiarity with medical scheduling practices, particularly in a dental office setting.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in handling sensitive information.
Experience with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus.
