Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized orthodontic assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointments, ensuring efficient operations, and providing excellent patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, an unceasingly positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the orthodontist
- Provide exceptional and efficient patient care and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
- Join in practice marketing and community events
- Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data and transcribe doctor notes
- Educate patients on orthodontic care
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment and operatory
- Adhere to all infection-control policies and protocols
- Managing and scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and checking in / out patients
- Setup & monitor treatment plans / coordinate patient care
- Work as a team player to optimize scheduling efficiency and patient flow
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide support in office management tasks as needed
Requirements
- An active dental assisting license, or plans to obtain one within 6mo
- A positive attitude as you provide care to patients in the clinic.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
