Dental Office Receptionist
About Us:
We are a family-oriented dental office in Mountainside, NJ. Our small, dedicated team works closely together to facilitate quality care to our patients. Our practice provides all types of dental treatments at our state-of-the-art, beautiful recently renovated facility. We have an in-house orthodontist as well.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly member to join our team in the role of Receptionist. As the front desk receptionist, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient flow and providing administrative support to the dental office. Your excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and customer service mindset will contribute to a positive patient experience.
We prefer someone who is eager to break into the field of dentistry or someone with a bit of experience in the dental or medical field (although this is not an absolute requirement; the right individual should ultimately possess excellent customer service skills and the willingness to learn!). Our culture is about collaboration, and we are looking for someone who wants to learn and be part of a team that enables us to provide better care to our patients.

*We currently use Open Dental and Dental Exchange for submitting our claims. We also use Yapi and Dexis to help facilitate treatment. While the candidate is not required to have experiencing in these programs, it is always a plus!
Responsibilities:
- As the receptionist, you are the face of the practice! We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to welcome and assist our patient with a smile.
- Typical roles in reception such as answer phones and retrieve voice messages, check emails, schedule/confirm appointments, take payment/co-pays, keep the waiting area tidy, and other administrative tasks to ensure a smooth flow
- Check patients in and out and ensure all forms/consents have been completed before patient is seated
- Follow up on patients who have pending treatment and schedule them
- Call insurances to figure out estimated benefits prior to the patient's appointment
- Intake new patients and enter all necessary data
