We are seeking one full-time dental assistant to join our close-knit team. We are committed to the success of our business and seek a dental assistant who is willing to cross-train and is happy to join the entire team in accomplishing our goals.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant who will provide support to our Dentist, prepare patients and equipment for procedures, assist during treatments, and maintain a clean and organized environment. They must also educate patients on oral hygiene, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental terminology.
Duties
· Assisting dentists during procedures and preparing materials.
· Greeting patients, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring patient comfort.
· Sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
· Taking and processing dental x-rays.
· Providing patients with instructions on oral practices and preventative care.
· Assist with patient assessments and treatment planning
· Assisting with emergency procedures and maintaining a safe environment.
· Following strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
· Fabricating temporary crowns, taking impressions, and performing other lab tasks.
· Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care
· Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling other administrative duties.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Excellence and experience in chair-side assisting is required.
· Strong knowledge of dental terminology and coding practices.
· Knowledge of Eaglesoft and Itero is a plus
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff alike.
· Ability to maintain attention to detail.
· A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and support.
