The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling, and providing exceptional service to patients. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in computer systems, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Duties
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments using scheduling software such as Dentrix.
- Verify insurance information and ensure accurate documentation for all patient visits.
- Review care plans and assist in the development of schedules that align with patient needs and provider availability.
- Maintain clear communication with patients regarding their appointments, including reminders and follow-ups.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Perform clerical tasks including documentation review, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
- Collaborate with dental staff to optimize scheduling processes and improve patient service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software related to scheduling and documentation.
