Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional service and support in a friendly environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information accurately.
- Assist in the management of patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry as needed, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient understanding of human anatomy related to oral health.
- Familiarity with dental office systems and procedures.
- Experience or knowledge in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures.
- Ability to conduct thorough documentation reviews for accuracy.
- Proficient in dental terminology as well as medical terminology.
- Experience in assisting within a dental office setting is beneficial.

Pay: $40.41 - $48.67 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
