We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. The Dental Assistant/Receptionist will be crossed trained to assist both the administrative or clinical teams based on the office needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while managing the dental calendar efficiently.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding treatments, procedures, and insurance coverage.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures as needed, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
- Support the dental team with four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Utilize systems effectively for managing patient data and appointment scheduling.
- Collaborate with dental assistants to provide seamless patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with pediatrics, general dentistry, and dental assisting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and infection control standards is essential.
- Experience with dental imaging technologies is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
