What would you do?
The Dental Office Manager is responsible for monitoring and managing the operations of a single dental practice.
- Focus on executing operational tasks in the dental practice with the goal of enhancing practice level efficiencies and growth.
- Work closely with the team to achieve practice goals by driving positive practice results and culture.
- Lead and manage the team through development, feedback, and time and payroll oversight.
- Be accountable for office goal achievement, team satisfaction, and patient experience (office reputation).
- Maintain regular communication with the dental office team, doctors, and upper level management to review practice trends and performance with a focus on production, team costs, and collections.
- Review and develop recommendations for improvement of operational processes working collaboratively with the doctors and upper level management
- Team development in the business of dentistry through regular on-site training, strength identification, and proper positioning on the team for maximum success for the team member and the practice.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to
- Organizing patient flow and appointments, financial coordination of patient accounts/ ledgers, insurance check posting, A/R follow up, claim appeals, conflict resolution with patients, treatment planning, financial arrangements,
- Working to maintain efficiencies in scheduling for goal achievement and coding of daily claims for service rendered and collection efforts.

Weekly and monthly tasks include but are not limited to
- Adjusting staffing levels, patient visits and A/R balances, reporting of month end information as outlined by A/F, process deliverables by due dates to business support office.
