We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dental care to our young patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their visits. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry will be essential in promoting oral health and educating both children and their parents about proper dental hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, apply fluoride treatments, and sealants as needed.
Maintain accurate dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices tailored for children.
Prepare hygiene rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary tools.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in a friendly environment.
Stay updated on pediatric dental terminology and advancements in dental technology.

Skills

Proficiency in Open Dental software for managing patient records is preferred
Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and practices.
Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.
Competence in using PMS systems for patient management.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient care activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 29 per week
