Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the management of patient appointments using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
- Provide care for pediatric patients with a gentle and friendly approach.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding relevant to dental procedures.
- Experience working in a dental office environment, ensuring smooth operations.
- Ability to manage medical records efficiently while adhering to privacy laws.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, especially in pediatrics.
- Knowledge of vital signs assessment techniques is essential for monitoring patient health during visits.
