We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical and dental terminology, and the ability to manage various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and in-person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Verify insurance information and perform insurance verification for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Record
- Support the dental team with clerical tasks including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems.
- Coordinate care plans and assist in patient intake processes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of medical coding, billing practices, and insurance processes is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
