Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care plans, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing exceptional patient service. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and the ability to navigate various electronic health record (EHR) systems. The Treatment Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Coordinate patient treatment plans and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with understanding their benefits.
- Utilize PMS systems such as Denticon for efficient patient record management.
- Conduct documentation reviews to ensure compliance with medical standards.
- Provide clerical support including filing, scheduling appointments, and managing multi-line phone systems.
- Maintain medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist in the intake process for new patients and manage follow-up communications.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the patient experience within the clinic or dental office setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance verification processes, and health information management.
- Familiarity with ADA coding and dentall billing procedures.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency and typing skills (10 key typing preferred).
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
