Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in dental terminology, familiarity with various electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and strong organizational skills to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle Dental billing and coding tasks.
- Perform documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with filing, clerical duties, and maintaining organized dental records.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and care plans.
- Utilize Dentrix software as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental administrative support tasks including scheduling, billing, and coding.
- Familiarity with health information management systems and dental terminology.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency and experience with multi-line phone systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
