Registered Dental Hygienist
Dental Hygienist (NEW GRADS WELCOME TO APPLY)
Description: Fulltime position (4 day work week) in a very successful, high volume, growing dental practice.

General Duties:
Provide preventative care to patient
Maintain hygiene room to ensure cleanliness and stocked
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments according to OSHA and infection control guidelines
Monitor inventory and order dental supplies as necessary
Work with scheduler to maximize production and keep schedule at capacity
Review patient health and dental history and update as necessary
Escort patients to and from hygiene room
Seat patients and have proper set up for treatment
Anticipate and assist doctor’s needs during patient care
Accurately chart each patient’s periodontal health
Preform thorough and gentle prophylaxis and radiographs to patients
Perform scaling and root planing and polishing for appropriate patients
Polish restorations
Provide radiographs as prescribed by dentist
Utilize intra-oral camera and office videos as educational tools
Apply cavity-preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants
Teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients
Counsel patients on proper nutrition and oral health
Accurately chart all services rendered
Be an active participant in staff meetings and morning huddle
Perform other duties as assigned by doctor or practice manager
