We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to best practices in infection control and patient assessment. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional service in a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy using appropriate techniques.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Utilize medical imaging technologies to capture accurate diagnostic images.
- Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Document patient information accurately in Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems.
- Ensure the dental clinic is organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and proficiency in aseptic techniques are essential.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures is highly desirable.
- Experience with medical imaging equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are required.
