Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional individual to join our dental team as a receptionist. The dental office receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, so excellent communication skills and a welcoming demeanor are a must. The ideal candidate must also be detail-oriented, able to multitask, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner
Check In/Out all visitors
Follow-up on voicemails
Answer phone calls and emails, schedule appointments, and manage patient records using dental practice management software
Verify and update patient information, including insurance information and medical history
Collect and process patient payments and insurance claims
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized reception area and office
Provide patients with information on office policies, procedures, and treatment options
Communicate with other members of the dental team to ensure patient care is coordinated and efficient
Attend Daily, Weekly, & Monthly office meetings
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a dental office or medical office is preferred
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult or upset patients in a professional manner
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with dental practice management software
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings

This position will require an individual to be enthusiastic when answering the phone and when talking to patients in person. The position will require the individual to call and schedule patients, manage cashier duties, inventory management, office organization and office sanitation.
