Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and a passion for promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient management and documentation.
- Conduct vital signs checks and assist in medical imaging procedures as needed.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in general dentistry practices.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and medical coding is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting practices, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments while demonstrating attention to detail.
- Understanding of infection control measures and aseptic techniques within the dental environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
