Qualifications
- Valid dental hygiene license
- Proficient in chairside assisting and patient care
- Strong knowledge of dental and medical terminology
- Experience with patient assessment and general dentistry
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Skilled in using dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Ability to take vital signs and perform medical imaging
Responsibilities
- Provide dental hygiene care for assigned patients.
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft, Open Dental or Dentrix for patient records and scheduling.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive patient care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
