Requirements:

Possess a degree from an accredited dental hygiene program, hold a valid state license. Key skills include a deep understanding of oral hygiene procedures, infection control, patient education, and strong communication skills for patient and team interaction. Open Dental software and equipment knowledge, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic are also important qualifications.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficiency in performing dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, and applying preventive treatments.
Patient Education: Ability to educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans.
Technical Competency: Familiarity with electronic dental records (EDRs) and various dental technologies, Open Dental software, 2 and 3 D Imaging
Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, dentists, and staff.
Attention to Detail: Essential for performing accurate procedures and maintaining thorough patient records.
Teamwork: The ability to work effectively as part of the dental team.
Reassurance: The ability to reassure and comfort patients.
Self-Motivation: A strong work ethic and the ability to be self-motivated.
Thoroughness: Ensuring all tasks are completed with accuracy and care
