Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining organized records.
- Manage appointment schedules, including scheduling, confirming and rescheduling patient appointments.
- Maintain patient records by updating information, scanning documents, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Handle patient registration and assist with necessary paperwork.
- Verify patient insurance, process payments, and file insurance claims.
- Provide information about the office, services, and patient treatment plans as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks and support the clinical team as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dental practice management software is a plus.
- Excellent typing skills with exceptional attention to detail for accurate data entry and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with front desk operations, phone etiquette, and customer support is essential.
- Previous (1 year minimum) experience in a customer service, front desk, or dental office role preferred. Experience as a dental or medical receptionist is a plus but not required.
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly, positive, and patient-focused demeanor.
- Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.26 - $20.69 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
