We’re seeking a Director, Data Strategy, to join our growing team.
The Director, Data Strategy will be responsible for shaping and executing our data strategy, overseeing BI development, enabling analytics across departments, and driving data governance and modernization efforts. This position will lead a team of BI developers, database engineers, and analysts.
How you’ll make us better:
- Define and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals
- Lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance
- Champion self-service analytics and empower business units with accessible, reliable data
- Serve as a liaison and consultant to departmental analysts, ensuring consistent metrics and reporting standards
- Provide architectural guidance for data platforms, pipelines, and reporting solutions
- Review and provide feedback on technical deliverables, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Oversee modernization of legacy systems and integration of new technologies
- Stabilize and document data movement processes across platforms
- Ensure reliability and performance of nightly data pipelines and reporting systems
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to prioritize and deliver data initiatives
Your special skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive change across departments
Prerequisites for success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
- Ten (10) years of experience in data strategy, BI, or analytics leadership required
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience required
- Experience with machine learning concepts preferred
- Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and analytics enablement
- Knowledge of SQL (Azure & AWS), and modern data platforms such as Snowflake
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its role in enterprise analytics
