We are a well-established, privately owned dental practice located in Newton, Massachusetts, dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-focused dental care in a collaborative and professional environment. As we continue to expand our services and meet patient demand, we are looking to partner with a skilled Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our team on a part-time basis — starting with one day per month and potential for growth.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate is a board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who is comfortable performing the full scope of oral surgery procedures, including but not limited to:

Routine and complex dental extractions (including wisdom teeth)
Dental implant placement
Bone grafting and sinus lifts
Oral pathology evaluation and biopsy
IV sedation and general anesthesia (as licensed and applicable)

This is a great opportunity for an experienced surgeon looking to supplement their schedule or someone looking to grow a presence in a reputable, referral-rich private office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional surgical care with a focus on patient comfort and safety
Collaborate closely with our general dentists and specialists for comprehensive treatment planning
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up as needed
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and specialty-specific regulations

Qualifications:

DDS/DMD from an accredited U.S. dental school
Completion of an accredited oral & maxillofacial surgery residency
Board certified (or board eligible) by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Active Massachusetts dental license (or ability to obtain)
Current DEA registration and sedation certification (if applicable)
Excellent clinical skills and patient rapport
Commitment to ethical and high-quality patient care
