Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing administrative support while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical office management, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Duties
- Manage patient scheduling and appointments efficiently to optimize office workflow.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing, including familiarity with managed care and financial management practices.
- Coordinate communication between patients and dental staff, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Support the dental team by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Oversee office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in training new staff members, providing guidance on office protocols and systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
- Knowledge of fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight within a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various healthcare management software including eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar systems is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage patient interactions effectively.
- Experience in human resources or supervising staff is an asset.
- Background in nursing or acute care can enhance the understanding of patient needs within the dental context.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
