Our practice is a single owner (non-commercial) dental practice, owned by the doctor, looking for a dental assistant. We strive on educating our patients on improving their oral hygiene while keeping their anxiety low with our laid back approach. The staff works together as a unit to make the patient experience as pleasant as possible. Everyone here works together to get the job done. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in the dental office
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Setup/break down operatories
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the Doctor while working on patients
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental operatories clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with hygiene
Skills
- Proven experience as dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- A team player willing to help in any way around the office
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $37.00 per hour
