We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist during procedures. Your expertise in dental terminology and patient assessment will be essential in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques.
- Document patient treatment plans and progress notes accurately.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist with a strong understanding of dental terminology and medical imaging.
- Familiarity with Dentrix and Eaglesoft software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to effectively assess patient needs and provide appropriate care based on individual circumstances.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
