Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient education and care.
Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical records and taking vital signs.
- Conduct dental cleanings and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutritional counseling, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the management of patient records within the dental clinic systems.
- Collaborate with dentists in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures as needed.
- Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Provide compassionate patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have regarding their treatment.
Skills
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with dental assisting practices and general dentistry procedures.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
- Strong ability to assess patient needs effectively and provide appropriate care.
- Knowledge of medical records management within a dental clinic setting.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health topics.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
