Overview
We are seeking to add a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of dental assisting procedures, infection control protocols, and dental terminology. This role involves providing exceptional chairside support in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining accurate treatment documentation. Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in radiography, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures. A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques is essential to uphold the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed.
- Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Record detailed medical and dental histories, vital signs, and other patient information accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix.
- Manage medical imaging documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas regularly.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and assisting with front desk duties when needed.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to optimize clinical efficiency and patient experience.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with medical documentation for pediatric and general dentistry cases.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures across general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Familiarity with EMR systems Dentrix or similar platforms for managing dental records and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with X-ray technology, including digital imaging is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental assisting.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patients of all ages.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
