Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and manage front office responsibilities. Duties
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and taking vital signs.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.
- Capture and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle front desk duties including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and managing medical documentation.
- Educate patients on dental procedures, terminology, and post-treatment care while maintaining professionalism in pediatrics or general dentistry settings.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as medical coding, updating medical records, and processing insurance claims related to dental and medical procedures.
- Support infection control protocols within the clinic environment to ensure patient safety and compliance with health standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting techniques is essential. Must be a Registered Dental Assistant.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation, and medical coding processes.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively; certification in radiography is required.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and various specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatrics.
- Experience with chairside assisting, aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners.
- Excellent communication skills for front desk responsibilities including patient interaction and appointment management.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
