Job Summary
Private Dental office seeking an amazing and skilled Dental Assistant to join our busy general dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during restorative and surgical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for various treatments.
Perform X-ray imaging and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
Manage patient records by accurately documenting medical history and treatment plans in Oryx.
Educate patients on procedures and post-treatment care.
Conduct 3D scanning for diagnostic purposes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization area.

Skills

Proficient in updating health histories, reviewing charts for procedures and keeping accurate patient records and charts.
Experience in dental assisting with knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques.
Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and protocols.
Competence in using 3D scanners for imaging purposes. CEREC preferred.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental treatments.
Strong skills in assisting during various dental procedures, including but not limited to Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Extractions, RCT, Gingival Grafts, Implants.
Proficient in X-Ray's and safety standards.
AAOMS certification - not required, will train.

Office Hours:

Mon & Tue - 7:30am -5:15pm; Wed - 6:30am-4:15pm; Thurs - 6:30am - 3:00pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
