We are seeking a highly organized and personable Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, handle insurance verification, and support overall administrative functions. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental office systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and billing processes. The Dental Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient service.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing outstanding customer service
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans
Collect payments and process medical billing and coding using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes within systems like Meditech or eClinicalWorks
Review and update patient medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Manage multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette and document patient inquiries accurately
Maintain organized filing of dental records, insurance documents, and administrative paperwork
Support clinic operations by managing appointment reminders, follow-up calls, and documentation review
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation of care plans and treatment notes
Three to Five years experience in a dental office setting is highly preferred
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix is essential
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and health information management practices
Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and Medicaid billing procedure
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.5 per week
