We are seeking a dedicated, well seasoned, skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills( great bedside manner, capable for small talk), and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take dental radiographs, including CBCT, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient treatment planning with doctor, scheduling, including appointments for follow-up visits.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize dental software -Dentrix for patient records management.
- Assist with various specialties including restorative, same day CEREC crowns/bridges/implants four-handed dentistry, extractions root canals implant placements....
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; especially scanning with iTero, Prime scan
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and practices is essential.
- Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and assisting with patient care is highly desirable.
- Experience with X-Ray technology is required.
- Huge plus, if bi-lingual (Spanish/English).
- Hourly pay negotiable, based on experience and knowledge.
