State of the Art Dental Group is looking for a dedicated and passionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our high-tech, full-scope dental practice. We specialize in general dentistry, dental implants, full-mouth reconstruction, and Invisalign, and we take pride in delivering outstanding patient care with a personal touch.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and performing oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings (prophy and SRP), exams, and preventive care
Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and disease prevention
Record clinical findings accurately in our cloud-based software (Dentrix Ascend)
Take digital x-rays and intraoral scans as needed
Collaborate with the doctor and treatment coordinator to present treatment plans
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with infection control procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Monitor vital signs when necessary and report any concerns to the dentist.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care for patients, including those in pediatrics and general dentistry.

Skills

Valid Maryland RDH license
Local anesthesia certification (preferred)
Proficiency in using Dentrix Ascend for patient management.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and best practices.
Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
