LOOKING FOR A LEAD ASSISTANT FOR A BEAUTIFUL HIGH END PPO PRIVATE PRACTICE TO GROW INTO FULL TIME WORK:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join Century Smile Maker. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with various dental software systems. The RDA will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to work across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and root canals.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols.
- Record detailed medical and dental histories, vital signs, and other relevant patient information using Dentrix System.
- Manage patient records accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions.
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
- Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment when necessary.
- Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation as a dental receptionist if required.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to ensure smooth workflow during procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or RDA in a clinical setting, preferably within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and vital signs measurement.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent dental terminology knowledge.
- Background in handling dental procedures related to prosthodontics and endodontics is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatric patients is preferred.
- Certification in radiography or x-ray licensing is required; additional certifications in medical coding or pediatrics are a plus.
