Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist or Dentist to open a dental clinic at Saguache Dental Clinic. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, examinations, and assessments to evaluate oral health status
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays and other diagnostic tools
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency
- Review and update medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Conduct vital signs measurements and patient assessments prior to treatment
- Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures
- Utilize dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record management
- Support pediatric dentistry needs by creating a comfortable environment for young patients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care and accurate medical coding
Skills
- Proficiency in dental office management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
- Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-related procedures is highly desirable
- Skilled in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting and medical imaging
- Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation review and updates
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Understanding of general dentistry procedures, medical coding, and documentation review processes
