Join our family centered dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care to the wonderful people of Moses Lake.
We are a one Dr practice and place value in creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our staff and patients.
In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and assist in creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your dedication to hygiene excellence and patient education will help foster healthy smiles and positive experiences every day.
We work Monday-Thursday 7:30-4:30 one week, and Tuesday-Friday (with Fridays being 7:30-2) the next... so every other weekend is a 4 day weekend!
We prefer full-time, but would love a part-time or occasional days if we need to. We have a thriving practice, we never have to advertise! Word of mouth from our patients keeps us plenty busy. Basic Duties Include:
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Assist the dentist during examinations.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- We use Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.
- Familiarity with infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
