Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled pediatric dentist or a dentist that loves treating kids, to join our client's dental practice. This is a privately owned office that has built a wonderful reputation in the community. They've been well established for many years, have lots of patients and an amazing team.
The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care to patients, ensuring high standards of patient assessment, treatment planning, and execution of dental procedures. This role requires proficiency in various dental specialties, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. The Dentist will work collaboratively with a team to deliver exceptional patient care while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality
- Document all medical records accurately and timely in accordance with practice protocols
- Implement infection control measures and aseptic techniques in all clinical procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and oral health education
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth office operations
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices
Experience
- Proven experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is a plus
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable
- Proficiency in performing various procedures including endodontics and dental fabrication
Requirements
- Must have completed or be in the process of completing a DDS or DMD degree
