Overview
Temporary (Full or part time) position to cover for leave. Monday-Thursday. We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental office team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in dental software, and a solid understanding of medical documentation practices.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently.
Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits using our scheduling system.
Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Process patient payments, insurance claims and manage billing inquiries.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before filing or entering into the system.
Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.

Skills

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is required.
Familiarity with dental software is a plus.
Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and medical terminology is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
