Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care through thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for all patients. This role involves working closely with Dr. Drost and other dental professionals to maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control within a modern dental practice. The Dental Hygienist will utilize advanced dental software and imaging systems to document patient care accurately, adhering to all HIPAA regulations and medical records protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, while maintaining strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and evaluating oral health status.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs.
- Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, documentation review, and providing support during dental treatments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical records appropriately.
- Stay current with advancements in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and EMR systems to enhance patient care quality.
Experience
- Valid license as a MN Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Prior work in general dentistry environments is advantageous for this role but certainly not required. New grads or almost new grads are welcome to apply. Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
