Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care across various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. This role involves working closely with dentists and patients to facilitate efficient procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment. Experience with Eaglesoft is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and HIPAA compliance. Duties
- Assist dentist during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take dental X-rays and medical imaging while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Record vital signs and medical history accurately in the electronic health records (EHR) system Eaglesoft
- Manage patient flow efficiently by updating medical records, assist in scheduling appointments, and providing patient education on oral health care
- Maintain strict infection control standards in compliance with OSHA regulations and HIPAA privacy policies
- Assist with the operation of 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology for comprehensive diagnostics
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical coding, billing documentation, and record keeping
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant credential required
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures
- Experience with chairside assisting including vital signs measurement and medical imaging techniques
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures following safety guidelines and aseptic techniques
- Strong understanding of dental specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment is preferred

Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is required.

Hours
- Full Time – Anticipated 28-32 hours/week
- Monday/Tuesday 7:30am-4:15pm, Wednesday 9:30am-6:15pm, Thursdays 7:00am-3:15pm
Compensation will include hourly pay rate, the opportunity for a monthly bonus based on reaching team goals, paid time off and holidays, and after 6 months the opportunity to participate in the practice's 401K plan with matching.
