Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician to join our dental practice team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating dental prostheses and restorations, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to clinical specifications. Duties
- Fabricate dental prostheses, crowns, bridges, dentures, and other restorations based on detailed prescriptions from dentists
- Utilize CAD/CAM technology for precise design and fabrication of dental appliances
- Experience with Exocad.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory work, including medical documentation and dental records
- Ensure all laboratory procedures comply with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Assist with chairside assisting as needed, including patient assessment and taking vital signs
- Operate laboratory equipment such as micrometers and other precision tools for accurate measurements
- Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure restorations meet patient-specific needs and specifications
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality during all stages of fabrication and documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental fabrication or laboratory work within a dental office or lab setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic for documentation purposes
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical records management
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems and digital dentistry tools is preferred
- Ability to work with precision instruments like micrometers and perform detailed measurements
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to follow complex instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
