Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in fabricating dental prosthetics and appliances, ensuring high-quality results that meet patient needs. Experience in dental fabrication, laboratory procedures, and familiarity with dental terminology are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate dental prosthetics according to dentist specifications and patient needs.
- Utilize CAD/CAM technology and other laboratory equipment to produce accurate dental restorations.
- Maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures, materials used, and product specifications in accordance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards.
- Ensure all fabrication processes adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with dental professionals regarding patient-specific requirements and adjustments.
- Assist with chairside assisting as needed, including taking digital scans, 3-D printing, and preparing materials for fabrication.
- Use precise measurement tools such as micrometers to ensure the accuracy of dental appliances.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental materials, CAD technology, and laboratory techniques to improve quality and efficiency.
Experience
- Prior laboratory experience in dental fabrication or related medical fields is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging enhances the ability to produce accurate restorations.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR systems is advantageous.
- Experience with infection control practices specific to dental laboratories and clinics is required.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software for designing dental restorations is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.22 - $30.37 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 32 per week
