A well-established dental practice in Waterbury, CT is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Office Manager. This role has a strong focus on treatment plan presentation, patient consultations, and sales, along with core office management responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is confident, patient-focused, and experienced in dental management systems and treatment coordination.
Compensation
- $26–$30 per hour, based on experience
- Performance-based bonus potential
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Consultations & Treatment Presentation
- Accept hand-offs from the Doctor and acknowledge patient concerns and clinical notes
- Conduct patient consultations to ensure understanding and acceptance of prescribed treatment plans
- Review Patient Verification Forms for existing patients
- Present treatment plans confidently and guide patients toward saying “yes” to care
- Enter and update treatment plans in Dentrix and dental management systems at the direction of the Doctor
Business Operations
- Work closely with Doctors to optimize patient scheduling and daily flow
- Ensure schedules align with Doctor preferences and productivity goals
- Coordinate with the practice support center to schedule patients with urgency, including walk-ins and emergencies
- Collect, post, and reconcile patient payments accurately
Patient Advocacy
- Educate patients on insurance benefits and payment options, including third-party financing
- Identify and address barriers to treatment acceptance
- Collaborate with Doctors to ensure patients complete recommended treatment
- Follow up with patients to schedule remaining or outstanding treatment
Administrative Support
- Assist with schedule audits and daily reporting
- Monitor credit balances and accounts receivable reports
- Support IVF completion and patient checkout processes
Qualifications
- Dental office management experience required
- Strong sales and treatment plan presentation experience required
- Proficiency with Dentrix and dental management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
