Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant with 1-2 years experience to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and electronic medical records (EMR).
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed, including handling dental receptionist duties.

Skills

Proficient in using EMR systems such as Dentrix & Dexis
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
Experience with four-handed dentistry practices.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners.
Ability to perform basic vital sign assessments.
BLS is required
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Position is temporary fill in help and has strong possibility of going perm!

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $23.00 - $23.23 per hour
