A growing dental practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Office Manager to oversee daily administrative and operational functions. This role is responsible for driving overall practice performance, maintaining strong financial health, supporting team development, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of operational expertise, financial knowledge, and people leadership. This individual will guide scheduling efficiency, support treatment plan presentation and financial discussions, monitor key performance metrics, and help create a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Primary ResponsibilitiesTeam Oversight & Development
- Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing training to administrative and clinical support staff
- Cultivate a positive, accountable, and service-oriented team culture
- Support professional growth and encourage leadership development within the team
Patient Experience & Communication
- Ensure patients receive clear explanations of treatment options, associated timelines, and financial arrangements
- Maintain strong communication between providers, patients, and team members
- Coordinate referrals and correspondence with other offices involved in patient care
- Promote a seamless experience from initial contact through completion of treatment
Operational Management
- Direct day-to-day office operations including scheduling optimization, patient flow, and systems management
- Monitor inventory and office processes to ensure efficiency and continuity
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet practice demands
Financial Performance
- Track production, collections, and other key performance indicators
- Support financial presentations of treatment plans and payment options
- Analyze reporting data and implement strategies to improve profitability and meet revenue goals
Growth & Strategic Planning
- Partner with leadership to identify growth opportunities
- Implement initiatives to expand patient volume and enhance service delivery
- Contribute to long-term operational and financial planning
Compliance & Human Resources
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, and legal requirements
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development
- Maintain proper documentation and training standards
Required Qualifications
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a dental practice
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Experience in a fast-paced, service-driven environment preferred
Operational & Business Knowledge
- Strong understanding of practice management principles and financial reporting
- Experience with dental practice management software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Communication & Decision-Making
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers, and leadership

- Understanding of HR practices and workplace compliance standards
Education
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Additional education or certifications in dental practice management are a plus
