Job Description: Certified Dental Assistant (Position is available immediately in a general dental office providing care to people of all ages)
We are seeking a full-time Certified Dental Assistant (Preferred) to join our team. However, applicants who are not certified may also apply.

Duties:
Our Dental Assistants are very important members of our team. They like it here, because they feel seen and heard and know that the work that they do really matters. They work hand in hand with the doctor, the hygienists and the patient care coordinator to provide the highest quality of care and often set the tone for each patient appointment.
It is integral to the vision of our practice that each member including our assistants expresses kindness and compassion to our patients as well as their co-workers. We are a close knit team. Our Dental Assistants are also trained to answer phones, meet and greet and can schedule patients. They enjoy educating our patients and answering their questions. They help the patient to feel welcome and comfortable. They are extremely organized which allows our team to provide the services we provide in a timely manner with precision and accuracy. They set up rooms and prepare for the days agenda making sure the supplies and equipment are ready and available. They assist the doctor in the performance of his or her duties. They teach our patients the difference between health and disease and offer hope and inspiration. Our Dental Assistants are capable of dismissing a patient at the end of their appointment, but normally hand them off to our Patient Care Coordinator. They then use our Dentrix Dental Software and provide clear and concise procedure notes to accurately document the care completed. They make sure procedural names and codes are correct, so patient billing can be processed before the patient leaves the office. Dental Assistants sometimes make appointments and help the doctor or hygienist prepare treatment plans for patients. They sometimes assist our Patient Care Coordinator in the performance of her duties.
Our Dental Assistants are infection control conscious, they run quality control tests to ensure our equipment is sterilized. They do the actual sterilization and cleaning of equipment and rooms. Our Dental Assistants take radiographs (X-rays) using our Dexis Sensors and Kavo CBCT and ensure their safety and accuracy in storage. Our Dental Assistants are CPR Certified and are prepared to respond to any dental emergency. They also order supplies under the direct supervision of the doctor and ensure all supplies are in-stock and current
Dental assistants perform custom whitening procedures and take impressions and pour models and learn to operate our Digital Scanner. Our Dental Assistants enjoy the variety the job entails while holding themselves to a high standard and provide excellent care to our patients.
