Job Overview
We have a dental hygiene opening for full or part time employment. We have a professional yet enjoyable setting in which to practice. Our staff is professional and fun to work with. Most of the staff have been employed here for many years and we need a new hygienist only because one of our valued employees is moving from the area.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain healthy smiles.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies.
- Take digital dental radiographs while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment plans in electronic medical record (EMR) systems in Dentrix.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures.
- Experience with Dentrix would be ideal, but we would help you learn the software.
- No quotas or pressure to sell dentistry or upcharge care.
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement, medical terminology, and infection prevention standards.
- Excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication tailored to diverse patient needs, including pediatrics.

Pay: $42.54 - $51.23 per hour
