We're looking for a friendly and outgoing professional to join our dental team! Our Front Desk Receptionist plays an important role by greeting patients with a smile and creating a welcoming environment. We are looking for individuals who are capable of working in a high-volume pediatric dental practice while providing the highest level of customer service, exhibit multi-tasking abilities, adhere to time management skills, and maintain strong positive relationships with patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Treats patients, staff and visitors with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Adheres to clinical schedules and notifies clinical staff of patient arrival.
- Adheres to practice policies and procedures.
- Responds to questions regarding patient balances, collections, and insurance
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients by providing prompt and accurate services.
- Collects and verifies appropriate patient demographic and insurance information.
- Completes any patient paperwork required for appointment.
- Conducts insurance verification for eligibility of services.
- Verifying information within patient electronic health records is current.
- Prints visit summaries, collects patient’s payments and posts to accounts.
- Reviews patient’s financial responsibilities regarding non-covered services.
- Schedules return appointments are indicated by clinical team.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Participates in cross training activities.
Must have's to be successful:
- Ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
- Ability to work cooperatively and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, and patients.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrates knowledge and computer proficiencies (Microsoft 365)
- Strong communication skills to accurately deliver necessary information to dentists, patients, parent/guardian and other staff
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable; exemplary attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- (Preferred) 2 years of dental office experience using electronic dental health records
- (Preferred) Familiarity with dental insurance and billing
