Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists and hygienists to deliver high-quality dental services in a professional environment. Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards
Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records management
Obtain vital signs and medical history information from patients prior to procedures
Provide patient education on oral health, treatment plans, and post-operative care
Maintain infection control standards by following proper sterilization and disinfection procedures
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical coding, and updating patient information in the system
Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge in pediatrics and anatomy
Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical imaging software is a plus
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively; certification in radiography preferred
Experience with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures is highly desirable
Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental care and medical documentation standards
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
Certification in CPR or BLS is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
